I've decided to start posting these rankings as soon as possible each week to help everyone with transfer as well as lineup decisions. I can then follow up later in the week with injury news etc. Therefore I will include players on the assumption they will play unless they are definately out through long term injury or suspension.

Captain Stats
  1. Rafael van der Vaart - Averaging 9.4 PPG at home and 9.5 PPG against opponents who concede between 1 and 1.5 GPG. The form player in the league and close to must own right now.
  2. Nani - Averaging 8.67 PPG at home and 9.75 PPG against opponents averaging more than 1.5 GPG. His great form should continue.
  3. Carlos Tevez - Great at home (8.5 PPG) and against mid level opponents (7.17 PPG). The best premium striker by some distance at the moment.
  4. Didier Drogba - Only scoring 5 PPG away from Stamford Bridge and 5.67 PPG against mid level opponents. A solid but unspectacular play again this week.
  5. Fernando Torres - Putting 6.33 PPG on tough opponents but has been brutal away from home (3.14 PPG). A huge risk this week.
  6. Florent Malouda - Terrible away from home (3.29 PPG) and only okay against mid level opponents. Does not deserve serious fantasy consideration at the moment.

THanks for getting it up early this week.

My dilemma for the week is which two to play out of Toure, Carroll, Adam and Etherington. Right now I've got Toure and Carroll in with Adam as my first sub. I don't expect much of anything from any of them this week.

Does anyone know whats going on with Elmohamady?

He has only played 1 min and 6 min in the last 2 weeks but does not show as an injured.

Also many thanks for a great site it helps a great deal

Andrew - Of those four I would rank them:

Toure (assuming you mean Kolo)

I think City are a good play this week as mancini will play it safe no doubt. The other three look risky so I would play the best player and that's Carroll. He's already scored against Arsenal and Villa so he can hang with the big boys and with Terry out and Alex hobbled Chelsea at home doesn't look too terrifying these days.

Wombat - Elmo's problem is that Bruce has moved to a 4-4-2 with Gyan, Bent and even Wellbeck in good form. You then have Henderson, Malbranque, Zenden, and Richardson all capable of playing wide so Elmo has serious competition on the flanks.

The real killer for Elmo owners is that Bruce seems to like bringing him on as a sub, hence you dare not start him as your sub might not get in the game if Elmo gives you 1 minute. Until further notice or a switch in tactics I think he needs to be sold now.

Hi, Chris!
Fabregas is out for 3 weeks, Elmo and Boateng are rotation risk. Is it time to use wildcard? If yes, then who is the best replacement of the 3?
I like City defense and i think Kolarov is the best option.
Also which goalkeeper pairing is the best for the future(until next wildcard)?
Thank you!

Many thanks for that Chris
(its hard to find out info down under and its my first year in PFF)
I have found your site a great help.

Is there a place online where I can check the teams that are pick and playing each week?
